Minneapolis Chief of Police, Marci Dancer, issued a statement asking citizens for help concerning Raghav Mehta, a person of interest in recent name pronunciation-related deaths. “While neither malice nor intention to cause harm appear to be part of the profile, many of the fallen have first met a form of Social Death, followed immediately by Actual Death.” Citizens are warned that if they come upon this situation, if they feel threatened or can’t sound out the name by using basic elementary reading skills, they should remain calm, but leave the area as quickly as possible. Delaying to consider questions like “What are you?” or “Where are you from?” could jeopardize precious seconds needed to safely escape.

Image Mr Mehta, a US citizen since birth, is said to be from Bloomington, Minnesota. It is also where he is “really” from as well.
